Too Good to be True?

You’re just too good to be true
Can’t take my eyes off you
You’d be like heaven to touch (Heaven to touch)
I wanna hold you so much (Hold you so much)
At long last, love has arrived
And I thank God I’m alive
You’re just too good to be true
Can’t take my eyes off you…

Have you ever felt that something is too good to be true? I think we all have. But why is it we think something can’t be true that appears to be too good?

I’ll tell you why. Because we don’t believe we are worthy of it. When we feel as though we aren’t good enough or don’t trust anything or anyone because of past hurts, we will sabotage anything that is seemingly too good to be true.

Them more we run this program of not feeling good enough, we may even actually look for things to be wrong with what is being presented to us. And if we can’t find anything outwardly, we will ask other people for their opinions and since most people have their own issues, they will reiterate our skepticism.

Most people are of the belief that they have to work hard to get something they want and that nothing of value can just drop in their laps. They think there has to be some type of struggle in order for it to have value and the more value something has, the harder they have to work for it. But that’s not true.

What is true, without a doubt, is that whatever you believe, is your truth. So if you think something is too good to be true than you will always be suspicious of what the Universe is trying to give you.

This is called self sabotage and most people do this. They run a constant stream of thoughts in their head about how something is too good to be true, instead of ones that say I deserve this.

You are gifted an opportunity every single day to elevate to a better version of yourself, but you have to be willing to let your old ways go. You know the ones: operating out of fear, control, guilt and rejection.

You can stay there if you want, but you will always be suspicious of a life that is too good to be true and will continue to sabotage the many blessings that are being sent to you because you don’t trust them.

If you don’t believe me, think about all of the people and situations that once made you feel so amazing, that are now gone. Look around yourself right now. Look at your surroundings, the people with you. Does it/they reflect back a life that is too good to be true or does it/they show you a truth that isn’t too good?

You have the power to change your reality; no one else does. When you understand how your beliefs have been creating your reality up to this point, you can either keep doing what you are doing or change them.

I like life on the too good to be true side. It’s a nice vibe and a whole lot easier.
