The Spins (lyrics may be a bit inappropriate but this song has a killer uplifting beat)

The spins is an adverse reaction of intoxication that causes a state of vertigo and nausea, causing one to feel as if “spinning out of control”, especially when lying down. It is most commonly associated with drunkenness or mixing alcohol with other psychoactive drugs such as cannabis.

But what of the type of spins that have nothing to do with alcohol at all? We have all felt like we are spinning out of control at some point in our lives. Why do you suppose we feel this way? Completely out of control, like our lives wait in the wings for someone else to tell us what to do or how to move forward.

I’ll tell you why. When you involve people who only have their best interest in mind and not yours, you will most definitely feel out of control. This is because you essentially gave your power over to them.

Sadly this happens more than we are aware of. If you are unconscious, meaning you still look for approval outside of yourself instead of looking within, then you most definitely feel as though you are spinning out of control in some area of your life.

We all have this incredible innate power within us, but few of us use it. We still continue to seek acceptance from those we think have more value then we do. We listen to their opinions because they make money, have a degree or whatever it is you are impressed by, instead of trusting our own judgement to make the proper decisions necessary in order for you to stay in a constant state of flow.

When you hand your power over, jump up and down, run through hoops and do anything you can to gain the attention and approval from others, you are coming from a place of complete and utter desperation. Desperate people attract desperate people and situations into their lives. People who look for approval attract people who will never give it to them. And people who blame others and take no accountability, well they are probably the worst, because they are self serving and you are just merely a pawn in their game to win at all costs.

At any given moment you have the power to stop spinning out of control. You do this by learning to love yourself so much, you never allow anyone to have control or power over you again. But you have to do the work. You have to be willing to really take a good look at yourself and ask the questions you have been avoiding. You have to stop blaming others for where you are at in life and take full accountability for the choices you have made because those choices brought you to this present moment.

You get to choose! You are incredibly powerful, so if you are still on the merry go round and don’t want to be there, get off. Life is easy. If it is hard for you, it’s because you are operating from a place of desperation.

Whatever vibration you are currently emitting, your life is reflecting back to you. If you like what you see, then keep vibing there. If you don’t, then do the work. It really is that simple.

Everyone in your life you are currently dealing with has been brought to you because of your vibration. You attracted them. It is not personal, it is simply vibrational.

Get Low…Just Don’t Stay There

We all get low from time to time. The worst thing you can do though is stay there.

It can be very hard to get up when you have been kicked. Disappointments have a way of just breaking us. It can be hard to get out of bed even, but we know we have to, because life goes on, bills have to be paid and kids need to be taken care of.

I think most of the things that bring us down in life come from our dealings with other people. Some people are so broken, they actually thrive off of breaking you…or at least trying to.

You can tell when you have met someone like this because you won’t feel good around them. It may even feel as though when you have a win they will see it as a loss, because they feel so threatened by your success. It’s hard to imagine that there are people like this, and usually they will be those closest to you, which is an even harder pill to swallow, but it’s true.

When you start to follow your inner promoting and do what you feel called to do, instead of what others expect of you, quite often you can be ridiculed. People closest to you like things the way they are, even if you don’t, and it can cause friction. This is what will cause the low because all you want is for them to be on the same page with you, but they aren’t even in the same bookstore.

I have gotten low many times in my life. Sometimes it has been hard to get back up. But there is an inner driver that won’t let me stay there. It’s like it knows that the kicks I have endured have been brought upon me by others, so it lights this fire inside of me and forces me to rise again.

Every time I rise I create. I re-ignite my passions and the things that excite me and I make money out of them. The more I have been kicked, the higher I rise, which translates to more happiness and then I am untouchable. But before you can get there, you have to start with the Aria Stark (Game of Thrones) method of healing.

I love how she had a list of people she was going to “off.” Of course we aren’t going to “off” anyone, but it does help to make a list of anyone who has wished you ill will, done you dirty or just dismissed you altogether.

We take this data bank of icky people and we use it to push ourselves beyond our comfort zone. We face our fears big time and we refuse to let them take anymore of our power. We go after what we want without question and we decide to make a very conscious choice to be happy.

We all know that the best revenge is doing well. The funny thing about this is, the better you do, the happier you become and that list you created no longer matters and you can’t for the life of you even remember who was on it. All you know is that you just don’t give a f^&k anymore because you’re too busy living your best life to care.

Get low by all means, and then use it as fuel to get back up!

Leap of Faith

an act of believing in or attempting something whose existence or outcome cannot be proved.

Every now and then life calls for you to take a leap of faith. Some of us will decide to stay on the cliff looking over it, while a few of us will jump at full force without a parachute, hoping it will work out.

Sometimes we wind up with gravel in our face. We are literally spitting tiny rocks out of our mouth and wiping our knees off. But we don’t die! That is the most important thing to remember here.

When you have an opportunity that will change your life come across your path, you either take a leap of faith and embrace it or you don’t. You are either giving it all you’ve got, no holds bar and no regrets or you are choosing to let it pass you by, as you sit on one of those mountains called, “What If” “I Should Have” “I Could Have” and ” I Would Have” if only…

I jump a lot! My middle son literally jumps out of planes. He asked me to go with him when I was in Florida last month. I said yes, but then my brother in-law said something about people relying on him too much and if something were to happen to him he didn’t think it best that he went. So, his words of advice and yadda yadda and I didn’t go. Not then anyway.

I have taken leaps of faith thought…many times. I’ve fallen in the gravel a few. I have no regrets because at least I jumped. Sometimes there is no safety net to catch us, but we understand this when we go all gusto on something we believe in. We are willing to fall because we know that standing on the cliff thinking about a life out there isn’t getting us any closer to it.

We have to be willing to fail. Or at least that is what most people would call it when things don’t work out. But I see failure as an opportunity to do it better next time. It is the trust and faith in ourselves that matters. We can do whatever it is we want to do, and now that we know that one way didn’t work, we can try another one.

When I created my first decks I made many mistakes. I didn’t know this when I was going through the process, but when I got the cards I realized they weren’t what I had envisioned. It didn’t stop me though. I created new cards, better ones. I learned through trial and error what worked and what didn’t. I’m still learning. I will always be learning.

You gotta have faith in your ideas, your visions. It does not matter what anyone else thinks of them. In fact, I would go so far as to tell you not to tell anyone until you have already initiated it.

People who don’t dream, don’t understand dreamers. And people who dream, don’t understand people who don’t.

Dare to dream! Take a leap of faith. If you jump and land in the gravel, dust yourself off, learn from it and create anew. That’s the worst that can happen. You know what the best is? Success! Have faith in yourself. I do!
